Queens of the Stone age swung through Dallas for the first time in five years in support their latest album Villains. In an era of bands playing to synced video back drops and lights, the stage set up was pretty basic, with just a few flexible LED poles placed strategically around the stage. Having a stripped down setup like this allows for the band to change up their setlist from night to night. While the majority of the songs on the setlist came from from Villains, the eighteen song set covered the entire catalog, including the fan requested Mexicola. As a fan that has seen them on eight separate occasions, I will say this wasn't my favorite set of songs they have done, but that just makes me want to catch them somewhere else this summer. Here's the setlist for those keeping score at home:
Feet Don't Fail Me
The Way You Used to Do
You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar, but I Feel Like a Millionaire
3's & 7's
Mexicola
No One Knows
The Evil Has Landed
Burn the Witch
Domesticated Animals
Smooth Sailing
In My Head
Make It Wit Chu
My God Is the Sun
If I Had a Tail
Villains of Circumstance
